About us

Little Achievers Forest School Nursery is situated within 120 acres of farmland and makes the most of an attractive and interesting location in which to encourage early years learning and activities. The views over the local area are breath taking, you can see for miles and this is the location of the children’s outdoor play areas.

Children can play in our forest school and be part of nature in action. Forest school is a different way of learning, the ever changing outdoors, the passage of time, the changes in seasons, nature, different sources of smells and textures. Our ever changing environment can stimulate learning in a very different environment.

While offering an excellent Early Years Education through inspiration from the Reggio Emilia Approach the nursery also holds the coveted Lancashire Quality Award for excellence Children experience accelerated learning techniques in a unique environment and develop a new range of skills, communication and improved health and personal development by spending time learning outdoors. This regular time spent in changing outdoor spaces and the accompanying reflective practice, develops a child’s resilience and reframes a child’s own view of risk.

Providing realistic challenges for children and allowing them to work through tasks themselves supports their development; actively engaging them to understand themselves and each other, promoting communication, problem-solving and social skills.
