About us

Through high quality play and positive interactions Little Achievers @ Ribbleton Children’s Centre achieves an impressive standard of learning. Rooms are resourced using natural materials and bespoke equipment; offering also high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and security.

Little Achievers @ Ribbleton Children’s Centre uses the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Years Childcare and Education, a philosophy that uses four key principles to focus on a child’s natural development. The approach is both child-centred and directed, taking the philosophy that learning must make sense to the child in order to be effective and meaningful.

Learning journeys for all children are offered both to see the progress their child is making at nursery via photographs, written comments and communication., along with being a beautiful portfolio of memories for the future.

Nursery places

All nursery pre-school children are able to access forest school at Little Achievers Unban Forest School Nursery, Preston within their timetable of nursery attendance. This time spent in outdoor spaces, develops a child’s resilience and re frames a child’s own view of risk.

As Little Achievers @ Ribbleton Children Centre are based within a local neighbourhood centre, we have the use of the centre’s facilities including the multi-sensory room and also quick access to a multiagency team of support staff.

The nursery is a 66 place nursery with a great layout, room can be opened up and yet when needed can be used in smaller areas to excite, interest and promote small group work.  Children have areas to tinker with loose parts, make models and create whatever their imagination will allow them too. A real place to explore, experiment and create….. The nursery holds the Lancashire STEP into Quality Award.

Little Achievers @ Ribbleton Children’s Centre is situated in Ribbleton Preston, with close links to the M6.  We are open from 7.30 to 5.30 term time and take children from the age of 2 years old. We accept funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, this includes 30 hours.  We are a single storey building situated within the children’s centre.
